In these uncertain times, you may not be sure if it’s safe to see the dentist. Can you really get the dental care you need during coronavirus?
At Nova Dental, we’re open and accepting patients for all appointments, and Dr. Talar Guldalian is taking every step possible to make sure you’re safe when you visit our office for dental care. Read on to learn more about the precautions that we’re taking while we serve patients in Woburn, Winchester, and Burlington.
We ask that you wear a mask or face covering to your appointment, if possible. We are providing patients with screening forms and questionnaires that must be filled out before their appointments. This questionnaire will ask about recent travel, whether you’ve been in contact with anyone who tested positive for COVID-19, and symptoms you may have experienced that could indicate infection.
Social distancing is the most effective way to prevent the spread of viruses such as COVID-19, which primarily spreads through saliva particles.
We have reconfigured our waiting area to ensure at least 6 feet of distance between patients, and we have removed pamphlets, magazines, and other frequently-touched items from all waiting areas.
In addition, we have spread out patient appointments more evenly throughout the day to help reduce the number of patients in our office at any given time.
Hand washing is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus. At our office, our dental team members will always wash their hands before and after putting on gloves, before and after seeing patients, and after touching any potentially soiled or contaminated surface, ensuring the safety of our staff and patients.
We are stepping up the frequency at which we disinfect the common areas of our office, including door knobs, countertops, tables, chairs, and bathrooms. This helps ensure that any viruses on these surfaces are destroyed, keeping our patients and staff members safe.
We have always followed all requirements outlined by the ADA, CDC and OSHA to clean patient operatories between each patient, including disposing of all used PPE, sanitizing reusable dental instruments, wiping down and sterilizing hard surfaces, and replacing plastic barriers on hard-to-clean surfaces.
However, we are taking additional steps to ensure operatories are safe for patients, and are cleaning and sterilizing each operatory even more thoroughly to minimize the risk of spreading any infectious virus or disease.
We take your safety and the safety of our staff members seriously at Nova Dental, which is why we’ve adopted these steps to keep you safe during your next appointment.
